Inspired by a post on the Lochac Woodwrights Facebook page, and this entry on sliding top boxes Jorvikingi’s Blog, I decided to have a go at making a sliding top box.
It was a very fun little project, and I learned a lot about joinery by making it. Working on such a tiny scale is kind of cool because there isn’t a lot of room to be off even by a mm or two – everything is visible, and it makes you pretty honest about doing everything right.
